The rupture of a dam in Mariana, Minas Gerais, has dumped more than 62 million cubic meters of toxic mud, leading to destruction and death.<br \/>\nThinking of showing the social, economic and environmental impacts caused one year after the disaster, Lu Marini started the expedition Tracing the Doce River. About a thousand kilometers were crossed between part of the Piranga, Carmo and Gualaxo rivers, responsible for transporting all the mud of ore tailings to the Doce River, and then for all the extension of that same river.
